Mission Statement

We will engage high character student athletes and develop their basketball skills while stressing high academic standards.  We will provide our players exposure to college basketball coaches of all levels to provide our student-athletes the opportunity to play at the next level and pursue a college education, hopefully for free!

History

We are proud to be an independent organization in Northwest Indiana for the past 27 years!  Valparaiso resident Geoff Dan founded the Dawgz with the intention of providing Region basketball players with the opportunity to attend college.  The Indiana Dawgz appreciate the efforts of all families, coaches, and corporate sponsors who have invested in the program in the past and are doing so currently.  Your support allows us to do what we feel is best for our players when scheduling tournaments and building our teams, independent of the show companies' demands.

We have always tried to make our program available to all players who want to play at a higher level, instead of catering only to Division 1 athletes!  We will continue this process as long as it is feasible.  To date, over 425 Indiana Dawgz alumni have gone on to compete at all levels of NCAA and NAIA basketball!  Our program is proud of our players accomplishments on and off the court!  Again, thank you to everyone who has contributed to the success of the Indiana Dawgz!

2019 Outlook

For the 2019 Spring/Summer, we will have elite travel teams for age groups 14U through 17U.  Once again, our 17U team will include some unsigned seniors.  The number of teams at each level will depend on the quality and number of players available.  We continue to attract the top high school talent in Northern Indiana!

Our fees for the 2019 AAU season are $800 per player.  This fee covers one to two practices per week  and seven to ten top Spring/Summer tournament fees!  Since we are not sponsored by the shoe companies, it is important that we collect these fees as early as possible.  At $800 per season, we are one of the least expensive AAU alternatives because none of our coaches, including our founder, are paid any kind of stipend!

Sponsors

We can't provide this level of excellence in coaching, training, and caliber of tournaments without help!  Our players' fees alone are not enough to support our endeavor!  If you would like to contribute to our program as an individual or as a business, please contact Geoff Dan or Tom Brankin and we will be glad to discuss!
